Ermergerd! Much going on here!
I wanted two doubles at 190kg (418.8 lbs). First set I got really nervous, didn’t really hit depth on rep one. Otherwise felt pretty solid. Set two I felt confident for sure but missed my second rep. Love how those few seconds just feel like an eternity and how all those thoughts go trough your head as the weight keeps pushing you down. Maan... Anyway.. My spotter helped me when I couldn’t get through the sticking point (in case the video makes it seem like I got it.) Got some grind in there though, hahah. Definitely consider these sets PRs because bodyweight was at 72kg before the session and when I did (one) double at 190kg back in June both reps were high and bw was at around 75kg. So yay.
Overall very happy with how things went down today tbh. My quads were still feeling a little messed up, in particular my left one. Even more so after doing this, so hopefully they’ll be recovered enough after a weeks rest. Just a very light session on Wednesday and then meet day on Saturday. 💃🏻
