European Classic Cup is finished! I got what I came for, which was a world record in the squat. Gave 200kg a go in the third but didn’t have much left in me after grinding out 196.5kg in my second.
My deadlift form actually felt fantastic today, but unfortunately I felt something snap/crack in my hip when I pulled 200kg so we decided to call it a day after that. It feels quite alright now but I wasn’t willing to risk anything that wasn’t necessary.
Overall very happy with this meet that was supposed to be a more relaxed, no pressure type of thing for me. I wasn’t aiming for for any particular total or placement for once and had my sole focus on the WR and just showing up and having a good time. HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has helped and cheered and congratulated me in this. Seriously, you will only go so far without the help from everone around you.
Thank you to @sweetkarro the bestest team coach in the world and to everyone on team Sweden that is here in Malaga (@gainzquake @gustav.hedlund @ae.power @matildavilmar )! Furthermore, it goes without saying that even though we’ve gone our separate ways, I wouldn’t be here and at this level without the years of impeccable coaching that I’ve been fortunate enough to get with @arvid.lind Thank you for the incredible amount of knowledge and help you’ve given me along the way.
To all my friends, family and members of @goteborgkk , who pick me up through thick and thin - no words can describe how thankful I am for that. These past few weeks in particular just proves how amazing it is to be surrounded by people who only want the best for you.
And thank you also to everyone here on insta that take your time and to show me support! ❤️
Thank you aswell to @styrkelyftforbundet for allowing me to represent Sweden on the national team.
